It is the solo exhibition by Angelo Sarleti entitled ANTOLOGIA (ANTHOLOGY) the first appointment of ANOMALI (OUTCASTS), a medium-term program in collaboration with Viafarini DOCVA on Present and Italy by Valerio Borgonuovo and Silvia Franceschini, involving artists born between the late '70s and early '80s in whose researches is possible to record the adoption of specific practices and strategies aimed at deciphering the context.
Designed as a space-time path within that speculative world which has recently generated the greatest financial crisis in modern history, ANTOLOGIA is primarily the result of a unique authorial process of breakdown and recomposition of four exhibition hypotheses – previously concepted by Angelo Sarleti – in a single but more exhaustive (and 'anthological') complex device developed by the artist together with the curators. From this reference draws on the title of the exhibition that, focusing on a relatively recent period (between 2007 and 2009) but not yet fully understood, traces through those events, or even better those 'pieces', whose consequences in the real economy have expanded degenerating in debt crisis, now threat for the balance of entire social democratic states.
In an attempt to test the capability of art to 'decipher' the abstractness of those 'strong' subjects, of those 'sharp' models that make up the Real through its linguistic codes and registers and which Art can not ignore, for years Angelo Sarleti pursues and complexifies (and in the case of ANTOLOGIA, through a mural, a video work, a sculpture and a series of paintings) a sophisticated and rigorous research strategy and the restitution of any possible relationship or correspondence (even esoteric) between subject and means by which the survey is conducted, in order to obtain a plausible 'increase' of reality interpretative tools.
During the days of the exhibition a series of interdisciplinary focuses coordinated and conducted by the artist and curators will be held at Viafarini DOCVA and other locations to be defined.
