Residency at Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art, Moscow

Among many applications received for the exchange between VIR viafarini-in-residence and Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, promoted by Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Mosca, the recipient artists are Daniele Marzorati and Maria Agureeva, who have been nominated taking into account their age, their artistic career and the quality of their proposals.

About the place and residence:
Founded in 2007 by Sofia and Roman Trotsenko, Winzavod is one of the first and biggest private contemporary art centers in Russia. Winzavod supports Russia’s contemporary art by uniting all areas of culture in one space that is open to public and creating a comfortable environment for its development.
Leading Moscow contemporary art galleries, workshops of artists, designers and photographers, cafes, show rooms, studios for kids, a bookstore, and many other facilities populate Winzavod.

The project is organized within an exchange between Winzavod and Viafarini, with the support of Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Mosca.

Place of residence: Russia, Moscow
Duration of residence: 40 days
Residence period: 1st December 2021 – 10th January 2022
Residence offers: accomodation, working studio, opportunity to realize your project, meetings with industry art professionals, workshops, open-talks

Requirements to participants:
- English speaking (intermediate/advanced)
- Applicants should be ready to work in interdisciplinary practices and to use different artistic tools
